The consultative meeting held at the Governor's office was aimed at finding ways to improve the delivery of healthcare services to the people of Garissa County.

During the meeting, the team briefed the Governor on the progress made since his election and the gaps and challenges that still exist.

The Governor reaffirmed his full support for the Department of Health to ensure that all health facilities in the county are fully functional.

He expressed his commitment to implementing his manifesto and the national agenda of health, which are both defined by quality healthcare that is accessible to all.

The Governor emphasized the importance of implementing all health building blocks to achieve quality healthcare that is accessible to all. He urged the department to work closely with the other sectors of the county government and other key stakeholders to achieve this goal.

On his part, CECM Ahmednadhir said that the meeting was very productive and it provided an opportunity for the Department of Health to share its plans and strategies with the Governor.

He added that the meeting also provided a platform for the Governor to provide guidance and his support to the department in its efforts to improve healthcare services in the county.
